After retiring
from a career in music education, I returned to the
needle-arts--always a fascinating hobby during my teaching years. My
skills include crochet, cross stitch, crewel work, rug-hooking,
Hardanger open-work and especially knitting. I teach knitting
and also have made store samples.
About five years
ago I saw an article on making mini-purses and was immediately
fascinated. Since then I have found many sources of inspiration for
bags of various sizes and uses. I am only limited by time. I use
patterns I have designed and am constantly looking for new and
unusual trimmings and ornaments. My goal is to help people see
the creativity possible in the fiber arts.
I am currently
working on my certification as a Master Knitter with The Knitters'
Guild of America and also belong to the St. Louis Knitters'
Guild.
