As a child I loved watching
my Grandmother Coder painting pictures of the Rocky Mountains and
other things in nature. She made me aware of the endless
possibilities for finding beauty in the world. Pictures can be
found in the strangest places and I am always looking for my next
one.
Lycoming
College in Williamsport (Home of the Little League World Series), PA
is where I earned a degree in teaching with a minor in
Biology. I taught various grades in elementary and over
the years worked at several other jobs in crafts and a plant nursery
where I was able to use my creative abilities. I've moved
around alot and so it is nice to be able to stay put in my
country home in the Hannibal area and pursue my interests. My
children, family and friends have always encouraged me to get back
to my art and it is wonderful to have the time for it now.
Exploring different
mediums is fun and I especially enjoy using my art to make
greeting cards. It was an easy transition to start using my
digital camera to express my love of nature. That is why my
prints, posters and cards are called Natural Inspirations.
Most of all I enjoy the process of creating something that may
strike a cord in the viewer's heart. It makes me happy!
I'm a
work in progress and enjoying every minute of
it.
